LHE Pride
June is Pride Month! We celebrate LGBTQ+ staff, students, and families in the LHE community.
As Principal Berkenwald has recently communicated, in the month of June, LHE classes have been talking about gender roles, gender expression, and gender identity. Some of our LHE students are nonbinary (do not identify as only male or female) and use they/them pronouns. We want to emphasize the necessity of correctly gendering students, as well as the hurt that can be caused by labeling groups of students as “boys and girls.”
