WHY WE FUNDRAISE
Loyal Heights Elementary relies on financial support from our PTA to fund programs and services that directly impact the education and vitality of our students, teachers and staff. We help provide essential needs such as math and literacy tutoring, music and arts programs, and even assist with salaries for our nurse, librarian, instructional assistants, and office staff.
We have two school-wide fundraisers each year: Move-a-Thon in the fall, and our annual auction in the spring.
MOVE-A-THON
Our fall Move-a-Thon gives our students an opportunity to show their school pride while raising money for their school. Part pep-rally, part celebration of movement, and part old-school pledge collecting, this event kicks off the school year with a ton of Beaver spirit.
Students collect per-lap or flat donations from their families, friends, and neighbors. They then have the opportunity both during school and following dismissal to don their Move-a-Thon shirts and complete as many laps as they can. Prizes are awarded for most money raised and most laps completed.
THE AUCTION
The annual auction is our PTA’s biggest fundraiser of the year. It consists of a week-long online silent auction open to all LHE families & their extended networks, a ticketed adults-only live auction event, and a student raffle.
In addition to raising necessary funds, our aim is for all aspects of the auction to enhance our community at LHE. Through the live auction event, and the many shared experiences up for auction, we hope to provide a range of opportunities for families to find others with common interests, and make new friends while coming together for a shared goal of supporting our school.

AUCTION 2026: A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES

We are still looking for donations! Please reach out to auction@loyalheightspta.org if you are interested in donating. We are especially looking for:​

Community Events: Host a small backyard BBQ, movie night, craft party, pizza party, etc… These can be for adults, kids, or families!

Shared Talents & Passions: Are you a painter, photographer, jewelry maker, woodworker, fisherman, baker, knitter, content creator, film editor (the examples are endless!)? Share your skills with the community! You do not need to be a professional (although pros are of course welcome), just someone with a skill they are willing to share. We can help you shape the class or gathering - you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Tickets: Sporting events (Seahawks, Sounders, Storm, Reign, Kraken, Mariners or Torrent games) or Arts (theatre, ballet, opera, concert venue, etc…).

Vacation Homes: Do you have an Airbnb or vacation home you’d be willing to donate a stay at?

Gift Cards for Local Businesses: restaurants, services, activities, experiences, etc... Ask your favorite local businesses if they are willing to support!

Movie Themed Donations: Have any connections with the movie industry? We’d love to offer some special movie-themed items or experiences.​

The Live Event: Saturday, March 28th • 5pm - Midnight (Adults Only)
Our live auction event is a fun night out; celebrating LHE as the parents, caregivers, teachers and staff that make up our school community. It includes a cocktail hour, dinner, live auction, and dancing - and an (optional but popular) opportunity to get dressed up in theme.
A Night at the Movies Attire Sugguestions:

Come dressed as your favorite movie character or plan a “cast of” costume with your table. This is a great opportunity to reuse movie-themed Halloween costumes!

Pull out your formal-wear for a Red Carpet moment. We all have that gown or suit we had to buy for a formal wedding and held on to “incase we ever have an occasion to wear it again” - this is that occasion!

Come dressed as a movie goer, usher, popcorn, movie director, award trophy, etc…

Online Auction: Sunday, March 22nd - Sunday, March 29th
​
With hundreds of items available at a range of price points, this is an opportunity for the entire community to participate. The online auction includes popular “buy now” tickets such the annual School Sleepover, Sleep-Under, Roller Skating Party, and parent gatherings; as well as silent auction items, experiences, and gift cards donated by families, classes, and local businesses.
Student Raffle: Monday, February 23rd - Friday, March 27th

As a way for students to get involved in the fundraising, we offer them the chance to sell $2 raffle tickets to their family and friends. The top three overall sellers will win a spot at the Annual School Sleepover or Sleep-Under, and the top selling class will win an ice cream party. Prizes will also be awarded to the top seller each week. The winning ticket will be pulled at the live event for a grand prize of $1,000.
